Job Title: Phlebotomist

Location: Albany, OR
Job Summary: As a phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, labeling the samples accurately, and ensuring proper storage and transportation of the samples for testing. You will work closely with medical professionals to provide excellent patient care and ensure accurate laboratory results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and finger sticks to collect blood samples
- Label samples correctly and ensure proper documentation
- Follow safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
- Process and prepare samples for testing
- Keep accurate records of samples collected
- Assist in training new phlebotomists
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program
- Certification as a phlebotomist preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
